Hi, I’m David, a Toronto-based professional violinist and dedicated teacher. I believe every student learns differently, which is why I tailor each lesson to their individual goals, interests, and experience.
Whether you're picking up the violin for the first time, preparing for an RCM exam, auditioning for an orchestra, or refining advanced repertoire, my lessons combine strong technique, musical expression, and effective practice strategies to help students build confidence and make consistent progress.
I work with students of all ages and levels in a supportive and encouraging environment, with instruction in RCM, Suzuki, audition preparation, music theory, and performance coaching.

What ages and skill levels do you teach?
I welcome students of all ages and levels, from complete beginners to advanced players preparing for auditions, performances, and RCM examinations.
Do I need my own violin before starting lessons?
Yes, students should have access to a violin for lessons and home practice. If you're unsure what instrument to get, I'm happy to provide recommendations for rentals and purchases.
What teaching methods do you use?
Lessons are tailored to each student's goals and may incorporate RCM, Suzuki, and other pedagogical approaches. Emphasis is placed on developing strong technique, musical expression, and confidence in performance.
